Tripoli’s Youth Activism for Lebanese Accountability (YALA) Program in Full Swing

During the month of June, LIMS organized a 1-day in-person training and 2-day online training for each of the three cohorts engaged in Tripoli’s Youth Activism for Lebanese Accountability (YALA) program. The training equipped participants with the needed skills to debate, communicate, and engage in advocacy and accountability. Participants expressed their thoughts and opinions and took part in various activities. They developed their public speaking abilities, consensus-building strategies, and approaches for creating and defending ideas. Furthermore, they learned to examine complicated topics from various points of view, negotiate, and sharpen their active listening skills. Also, they learned how to create and carry out an advocacy campaign. Participants then suggested advocacy topics and formed groups to design and present their campaign.
